Have you been struggling to understand or get to the bottom of your anxiety, mood difficulties, past trauma or interpersonal or social struggles? I am here to collaborate with you to learn about your triggers and the internal psychological processes involved in keeping you stuck, and facing them together so that you can be unburdened by these symptoms.
I am a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at Queen’s University. During my time in the program, I have been granted valuable training experiences through coursework and practical training. I have completed training in academic and forensic clinical settings where I acquired skills in semi-structured interviewing, cognitive, personality, and mood assessments, and forensic risk assessments. Currently, I am continuing my training in forensic clinical assessments as a psychometrist at the Family Court Clinic.
I am delighted to be furthering my clinical training at DPPC under the supervision of Dr. Karen Dinsmore. Through close collaboration with Dr. Dinsmore, I am receiving training in psychodynamic and emotion-focused frameworks of psychotherapy, including the Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy metapsychology.
I bring my genuine warmth and openness into our therapeutic relationship and maintain a focus and curiosity about who you are and how you relate to others and yourself to help us understand your difficulties. I provide a space for you to show up as your genuine self without the learned patterns that no longer serve you, and face what you have been avoiding so that you can overcome the symptoms that baracade you from your health.
In addition to self-referred clients, I am also available to work with veterans referred by Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and workers referred by WSIB.
