People usually come to therapy when something in life isn’t working anymore - when they’re looking for relief, trying to make sense of painful experiences, or wanting a different way of relating to themselves and others. I see therapy as a process we walk through together, where I offer support, understanding, and honest feedback to help you move toward the changes you want.

I’m a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University. Over the course of my training, I’ve worked with several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Unified Protocol (UP), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). More recently, I’ve been drawn to psychodynamic psychotherapy, and I’m currently completing advanced training in a psychodynamic and emotion-focused therapeutic approach using the Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) metapsychology under the supervision of Dr. Karen Dinsmore. This work has strengthened my appreciation for how our early experiences and relationships continue to shape the way we live and connect with others today.

My clinical experience spans hospital, community, university, and military settings, where I’ve supported people dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, and relationship challenges. No matter the setting, my focus has been on creating a space where people feel safe to open up while also feeling encouraged to explore parts of themselves that may have been pushed aside or avoided.

My style is warm and collaborative. I bring curiosity, humour at times, and honesty when it could be helpful to see things in a new way. I pay close attention not only to the stories you share, but also to what unfolds between us in session - because those moments can often be some of the most meaningful opportunities for insight and growth.

In addition to self-referred clients, I am also available to work with veterans referred by Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and workers referred by WSIB.
